About What’s He Building in There? IS WRITING

What's He Building In There? burst onto the scene in 2007 with the release of their debut self-titled full length album on Year of the Sun Records. The album was well received by listeners and critics alike: Decoy Music described WHBIT? as "...one of the few bands outside of Between the Buried and Me who could break into the (relative) mainstream without conforming to the 'core' stereotypes usually needed to succeed."

It was with that non-conformist attitude and sound that WHBIT? took to the road after the release of their debut. They have since been on five Canadian tours playing more than 120 shows coast to coast.

Their most recent Eastern Canadian tour saw them fine-tuning their sound by becoming a four-piece. This less-is-more philosophy has shone through, resulting in clearer tones, more room for stage hijinx, a more focused approach to their songs, and space for a few unorthodox cover tunes. The October 2009 tour had them joining forces with Vancouver's NinjaSpy to reach from Southern Ontario to St. John's Newfoundland and back, and was documented by a segment on MTV Canada.

Now back at home in Montreal, WHBIT? has set sights on writing the best, most focused and structured, yet most ecclectic and musical album they can over the winter. Look for it, and for them on the road in 2010.
