About me: Three days of explosive fireworks, live music, car shows, parades, food, fun and, of course, beautiful carnations take center stage in Wheat Ridge for the year’s most thrilling event. Set your calendars for August 16 through August 18. The 38th Annual Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival will blossom like never before.
Bring friends. Bring family. Bring a camera. This is the one big event you and your family will definitely remember for a lifetime.
Where: Albert E. Anderson Park, 44th and Field
Shuttle Bus: runs FREE every 15 minutes on 44th Ave. between Upham and Robb. Parking is limited, so look for Shuttle Stop signs and hop on board.
Thursday, August 16—3 PM through 10 PM. Teen Night!
Teens rule the first night with fire spinners, belly dancers, magicians, and a thrilling, high flying skateboard competition. Students can also vote for their favorite high school band and later catch No Fair Fight as they hit the stage.
Friday, August 17—4 PM through 11 PM. Fireworks Extravaganza!
The weekend arrives in chrome and character as we present coolest cars of yesteryear at Steve’s Emissions and Adolph’s Automotive on 44th Avenue. The main stage then comes alive with nonstop entertainment and big bands hitting high notes all night long, all under a colorful firework show above Wheat Ridge.
Saturday, August 18—10 AM through 11 PM. Everyone loves a parade!
Our parade celebrates a great American tradition as we make its way down 38th Ave, between Harland & Upham. See all the colorful floats. Hear the booming sounds of talented marching bands. Join family and friends along the parade route for this big event.
Stroll down the midway to shop, play, and grab a bite to eat. Then explore our fun-filled carnival area where we dare you to climb the rock wall or bounce around in our bungee jumper.
And how does mouthwatering spaghetti sound? The Wheat Ridge Fire Department is proudly to serve our community Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 7 PM. Drop by for dinner and check out the fire engine, smoke trailer and expanded Fire Department area.
An exciting lineup is in the works with great music from all genres taking all three stages. Visit this website for regular updates. Also look for oversized, souvenir festival programs available in neighborhood grocery stores, Saturday, August 11. It’s fun. It’s fantastic. It’s a celebration you can’t miss. The 38th Annual Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival!
