New York Girls theme.....

...strange fruit of the strangest city in the world, dreamers of dreamless sleep... Kern bought a Super-8 movie camera in 1983 for five dollars. He shot friends doing what they wanted to do, spending time in Manhatten "drawn by that yearning for excitement and lifestyle intensity that motivates everyone that moves there...they all became New Yorkers by spending time in the downtown scene looking for fun..." That's what they found.......

Richard Kern's New York Girls .......Richard Kern first came to underground prominence as part of the underground cultural explosion in the East Village of New York City in the 1980s, with erotic films featuring underground rock personalities of the time such as Lydia Lunch and Henry Rollins. He directed a Sonic Youth video in Super-8, which led to more music video work for him.

Dear friends,

Being the self-effacing types we are, we haven't yet made much fuss about the release of our new double A-side single, so we thought we'd post out the details. We hope that's okay with you.

Reflective Clothing gif

The single is on 7" heavyweight vinyl, a limited edition of 200 hand-numbered copies, and if you buy the vinyl you get a code which can be exchanged for high-quality mp3s of the same tracks, so it's a win-win, even if you're vinyl agnostic.

Link to buy from Rough Trade

Link to buy from Norman Records

There's a review here, if you need some further persuasion:

Thanks very much for reading!
