Their music has been adequately described as a “cross between The Allman Brothers and Jet, fusing elements of southern rock, jam, and classic rock into a wholly likable rock hybrid.” .... The five-piece group demonstrates a mature, well-developed songwriting talent, yet at the same time they have no qualms about dishing out hard-rocking songs that get your head bobbing and your heart pumping. Heavy in guitar licks, swampy organ melodies and catchy hooks, WheelHouse finds a happy medium between straight-up rock and mellow grooves. .... “We could write a funk song tomorrow and a ballad the next day,” says Matt McClain, the band’s main songwriter. “I think music manifests itself in everyday events and emotions, and when you can capture that moment in a song, it will take on a life of its own.
