Wheeling Bitch Circus began in September of 1998, "with the foundation of all things metal," as somewhat jokingly states founder/guitarist Nate DiDonato.
Despite what many have thought over the years, they're still alive and kicking, with a much more defined and polished sound.

“Most of us have been involved in several side projects and other bands during the last couple of years," Nate continues. "Now it's time to combine our newly found experiences, improved techniques, and professional attitude to create many things new and exciting."
After playing a few small gigs in celebration of their ten-year anniversary, they have temporarily taken time off from live shows.
The members’ busy schedules won't enable WBC to play again as a full-on band until sometime next year.

“Just because all of our musical efforts weren't, and continually aren't, solely in WBC doesn't mean WBC isn't our baby. The members therein make up a brotherhood. Our outside experiences help keep things fresh and new. No one wants a one-dimensional metal band. It gets boring fast. Thanks to years of dedicated playing and recording experience, we can finally do what we've wanted to do since the beginning, and that is crank out amazing new albums, less filler, more taste. Our journey is far from over."
WBC's latest release was in October of 2006, "Fallen Angel," their third studio album.

DiDonato further comments, "That album was a nightmare. It was in development hell for over three years. Although it was a major step forward from our first two releases, 'Fallen Angel' to us now feels a bit... I dunno... dated. It's basically an excerpt, or a partial foundation of our sound, an ideal of our collaborative potential. We'll look back in a few years and really respect it, but we've been playing most of those songs since a few months after 'Era' was released" ("Era", their second album, was released in 2002).
The material for their fourth and fifth album is now in final development and various recording stages at Pure Water Studios.
A few songs from their upcoming releases were performed live at shows in mid 2008, and recordings are available online.
Stay tuned for new material from WBC, as well as their many side projects also from Pure Water Studios, in the upcoming months of 2009.
