Drawn together by the same desire to make music, five men united to create When Icarus Falls in 2007. Through the daring alchemy of their music, they created a unique atmosphere oscillating between oceans of ravaging riffs, and bewitching melodies on the piano. Accompanied by a mind blowing voice, When Icarus Falls opens a way between rage and despair, melancholy and brutality.
The group’s first EP called ‘Over the Frozen Seas’ materialises the search for a unique, profound and warm sound. It was recorded and mixed by Julien Fehlmann at the Studio mécanique, and mastered by Gabriel Wallach in Hollywood (Lurssen mastering) and will be released in hard copy the 4th of september (Switzerland and France) and the 7th of september 2009 (UK) with Get A Life!records.
Formé en 2007, When Icarus Falls propose une alchimie osée oscillant entre une ambiance tourmentée dans un océan de riffs ravageurs, et des passages envoûtants ciselés au piano. Accompagné par une voix à fendre l'âme, When Icarus Falls taille son chemin entre rage et désespoir, mélancolie et brutalité.
"Over The Frozen Seas" matérialise la recherche d'un son particulier, profond et chaleureux. La sortie de ce premier EP enregistré et mixé au Studio mécanique par Julien Fehlmann, puis masterisé à Hollywood par Gabriel Wallach (Lurssen mastering), est prévue le 4 septembre 2009 (Suisse et France) et le 7 septembre 2009 (UK) sur Get A Life!records.
