When Pilots Eject's distinct melding of down-tempo electronics and avant-rock instrumentation has seen them become one of the most interesting bands on the local scene, creating something warm and melodic filtered through laptop drones and controlled bursts of distortion.
The last few years has seen WPE produce three E.P.s: Pilots, Combat Stance and Schofield.
Alongside their own headline shows in The Empire, The Menagerie, Auntie Annies and the Black Box, WPE have appeared at Moving on Music's BANG 03 & 06 festival, the Blueprint festival, and appearing as special guests of Tracer AMC. They have been commissioned by the BBC to produce three versions of Christmas classics: Little Drummer Boy, Silent night and In Dulci Jubilo, for broadcast on the 'Across the Line' Christmas Carols show.
Integral to the band is visual artist Marty Martin, whose live manipulations of moving and still image provide the perfect accompaniment to their widescreen soundtrack.

Hope you're digging our tunes and vids so far. We've been promising people we're gonna pull our fingers out for a while now, but as they say 'the best plans of mice and men...' Anyway, thanks for having our sorry asses, stay safe and stay heavy!!!
