“...You’re supposed to be a smarty pants, so I’m surprised that you still don’t get it Freshie,” Morgan mocked. “But I’ll explain it one more time. Ivey is my turf. I can and do decide whatever goes on around here!”
“I can’t comprehend how it is that you are so completely full of yourself,” Zoë observed the other girl in wonder. “You really do think that the world revolves around you!”
“Maybe not the entire world, but definitely this school,” Morgan flashed a superior smile. “I always get my way here!”
“Well I hate to break it to you Morgan, but you won’t this time,” Zoë said decidedly. “What I’m standing for goes way beyond you and I, and it’s bigger than whatever control you think you have on this campus!” she added.
“You can’t just come here and upset the way things are run!” Morgan cried.
Suddenly all traces of amusement had been wiped from Morgan’s face and she took some steps forward, once again putting herself but a few inches from Zoë’s face.
“Obviously I’m not getting through to you, so I’ll make it simple once and for all,” she hissed in a most menacing voice. “This is not a debate. Your little fellowship project or whatever you call it is not going to happen not on this campus, not now and not ever!”
This time Zoë did not back away, she stood her ground and stared Morgan right back in the face, and her voice was firm and even when she spoke.
“It is going to happen, Morgan,” she said, “so brace yourself!”

This book was magnificent! The best book I've ever read in my life (I've read quite a lot). Keep up the good work and keep on writing! Hopefully, the next one will come out later this year!
Wonderful book Nneka!!! This is only the beginning too .. :) I sat down, preparing myself for a read that I was unsure of what the outcome might be, but after reading through the first few pages, I could not set it down! I can't wait for the next book!
