"I like this a lot and it gets better with every listen..." - Steve Lamacq
"Our Lost Infantry sound rather like what you might get if you set loose a group of musical savants in a music shop on a sunny day. It's unrestrained, uplifting stuff, raucous, air punching and well worth checking out." - The Fly
"Our Lost Infantry manage to pack so much in to such a small space, with dense songs that have the energy of an infantry charge, this is by no means a band who are lost – they know exactly what they’re doing and they’re doing it perfectly." - The 405
"I think passion pretty much sums up O.L.I. Their stage presence, the song lyrics and dynamics within the group are all excellent and appear effortless because they stem from the sheer enthusiasm they have for what they do. Genuinely nice people, with genuinely great music." - Surrey Unsigned Magazine.
"If there’s one band, I would urge you to listen to, it is Our Lost Infantry...very talented individuals who really deserve mainstream success." - BlissdelaMess Promotions"
"lovely stuff" - Bethan Elfyn, BBC Radio 1
"much better than Alphabeat, but no way near as good as Abba." - random drunk bloke in toilet
we are from aldershot in south east england. we all went to the same school. we all still live in the town where we grew up. we all spend every spare moment writing and playing and drawing and singing in the hope that, just maybe, this might be a way to better things.
we are an industrious band who like meeting new people and making new things. this september we took our first band trip abroad, to copenhagen, to play some shows. we would like it to be the 1st of many. in the past we have played with johnny foreigner, sky larkin, frightened rabbit, the northwestern, the brute chorus, red light company, hjaltalin and the race. in the future we would like to play with (in no particular order): los campesinos!, guillemots, frank turner, british sea power, and fanfarlo. make it so!
