   About Whimsical Fetus
Starting in Jacksonville, Florida back in 1998, Whimsical Fetus was a collection of nine individuals who wanted to take the standard idea of what was considered "good music" and warp it into a twisted, bastardized version of itself. Much like blending a Pollock with a di Vinci, the typical out come was far from coherent, and messy at best.

Through the following three years the collective had lost all but one of its original members. It's founder, Ryan, had been experimenting with sound manipulation and noise from the very beginning. He invited his friend, and fellow noise aficionado, Jason to join him. A year later electronics nut JaMile Jackson was added to the line up.

The collective soon shaped up to be more of a band than just a random gathering, playing shows at different clubs and art galleries around town and down in Saint Augustine.

Taking from their influences: early industrial, no-wave, power electronics, noise, and tape manipulation; the band uses an assortment of electronics, instruments, and creativity to improvise tribal rituals for the postindustrial age. Whimsical Fetus uses analog noise to allow for an emotional release from not only the band members, but those listening to and allowing the moment to take control of them.

Myspace.com didn't allow us enough space to put the name of our songs down. So we didn't put our names down.

We greatly appreciate you allowing us to promote our interests on the backs of your

delightful site, in doing that, we invite you to listen and comment on the presented material;

though it may not be for everyone, it certainly invokes a more musically defined and less

commercially encouraged medium that many of the greats of yesteryear would be very proud to

have heard, which in all ways, we are then satisfied.
Thanks again,

keep on making this crazy synthetic noise, it's going to take over, florida will become the next electricore universe, and it will sink, all that will remain is those who have synthesizers and keyboards/controllers of sorts and they will float to the surface while the ELECTROBOAT picks them up.
