This is a tribute site to one of hardcore punks greatest and most underated bands of all time. hopefully you enjoy their music as much as i do. they started in the early 80's in Stanford, Ca, and here is a little bit of info on them by the producer of their cd "Subcreature". Nor. Cal's Whipping Boy were a unique band indeed, an odd combination of brain and brawn compacted into one forceful four man destruction unit. giant men with an equally giant sound as powerful as any of that era. when i say giant, i do mean giant, as one of Whipping Boys members once took on one of the larger members of the misfits. "We went to a show one night, the night now known as the Elite Club night. The Misfits played and put some kid in the hospital. cracked him over the head with a guitar. we tore shit up, attacked the band, kicked in the bass drum, tore down their banner, beat up their sound guy. we were fired by the lasting image of seeing this kid out cold with blood gushing out of his head. initially this had less to do with wether the misfits sucked or not. it had to do with the kid, Timmy, a bad night, a bad vibe. i wrote about it for Ripper and soaked the misfits."-Eugene Robinson (Vocalist). Whipping boy were just the nicest bunch of guys, but of course i did say nicest and not stupidest so they wouldnt have taken any guff. all of that transformed into their wild-eyed frantic sound here before your very own ears.
