More than Whiskey... WHISKEY BROWN is ready to give you a shot of soulful, hard-hitting, contagious southern rock. If today's brand of music still leaves you a little high and dry, these southern-boys are ready to quench your musical thirst.
Absorbing the essence of rock & soul with their passionate melodies and tasteful riffs, WHISKEY BROWN has refined the spirit in southern rock music by giving it their own unique twist and flavorful aroma if you will!!! So if you're ready to experience something a little different just remember, not just whiskey... it's WHISKEY BROWN!
So this is a short version of how WB came to life...
Last year a couple of us thought it would be fun to start a southern rock band. (We need to keep it alive ya know!) The music from the 70's has helped to craft the music of today! We finally booked some studio time and started bringing it all to life. It wasn't long before the guys from the studio fell in love with the project. We really took our time on everything just because we wanted it to be right. You don't rush the making of a good wine and why we want to rush anything that was so much fun!?
Long story short, the producer and some of the studio players ended up joining the band. With alot of talent, and alot of desire..Whiskey Brown was born and we are gaining ground. Playing South by Southwest in Austin, TX. was a blast and from the looks of things just the tip of the iceberg. We've had a lot of dates since then and are working on doing some international ones soon.
With our CD now complete, you can purchase it at www.cdbaby.com/whiskeybrown or even Itunes. We've gotten alot of positive feedback from folks in countries abroad as well as those at home who are joining the WB revolution.
We sincerely send out a big "Thank Ya'll" for your support...It means alot to us!
If you ever get a chance to hear us live...we promise we will send you back home HAPPY! We aim to please! We hope our music touches you in some way. Just know we don't forget where we come from...Our roots go deep.
Thank you again for stopping in...

All of myspace friends,Some of you hae been great and have reposted this. I so appreciate it. It shows there are a lot of people out there with a heart. Some of my friends have gone as far as saying they would rather come to the benefit to show support rather than go party that day. There are so many loving people out there. When I told her about the response it just filled her heart. She said she didnt dream so many people cared. Now the rest of my friends that have not posted this. Come on now, lets get this out there. Imagine if this was a relative or friend of your's. We need to ban together and help. So come now, repost it and lets help.So what are you waiting on???This is about one of my best friends, who is also named Lisa. We have been best friends for over 20 years. She is a daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother, we actually share grandchildren. She has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). Now I dont know how many people are familar with this but it is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually lead to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed. The things that Lisa needs and the medications are very costly and insurance just does not cover everything. Some of her medication is 800.00 a month. Her house has to be made handicapped accessible. She has to have a bathroom made just for her, she will have to have a ramp built outside. There will be a benefit May 31, 2008 in Arley, ALABAMA at the Meek High School. Call me 334-451-0474

Stolen from outside his house last October, on the eve of Daddy Cool's national tour with The Beach Boys, Ross Hannaford's van, complete with cargo of irreplaceable guitars, amps, pedals & custom gadgets have reappeared. Amazingly the van had been used by joy riders and dumped in a backstreet only a few k's from home without the gear being uncovered. Finally a neighbour checked inside, found Hanna's number on his equipment and hey presto! all is back to normal.
Ross is, of course, ecstatic to have his precious equipment returned, and wishes to thank each and everyone of you who contacted us, and says the love, care and support shown to him has been a life enhancing experience.
By the way, he now has his own Myspace Site where you can check on upcoming gigs. Check it here www.myspace.com/rashannafordtrio
