small town in wisconsin, not much bigger city in minnesota....cows, farms, and bars..... junebug, father of whiskey dick grew up in a small town in wisconsin along with bass player tom mangelson......junebug was the guitarist in a popular mpls band "helva" who shared the stage with the likes of 'goldfinger', 'bosstones', 'long beach dub allstars', 'smashmouth', 'd.o.a.' and many more...after the demise of 'helva', junebug packed his bags and moved to the city...los angeles....where he played with virgin/immortal rockers 'us crush', emi punkers 'butt trumpet', 80's metal icons 'poison'....(really) and rocked out with various rockabilly and skapunk bands......toured opening for 'd.i.' and a few weeks on the warped tour and 5 shows with 'social d'....HELL YES!!!!! after 5 years in la, junebug realized it was time to get back to his roots and go where music is based on how it sounds and not how it looks.....mpls. mn......he inlisted long time friend and cousin, dustin kiel to play lap steel guitar, and drummer nick larsen ('helva', 'the icey shores', 'redlightgo'..) and soon to be bassist tom mangelson...... tattoo's, bar brawls, and pin-ups....what more can you say?
