Bass Guitar - Linda never had much interest in country music until her husband Rick decided that country music was now where his heart was. When he joined up with a country band, Linda was there supporting his interest and then realized that she really did enjoy the country music scene. Linda and her husband travel to Nashville every June to attend the CMA Musicfest. They get to spend four whole days of listening to nothing but good ole country music, featuring all the current artists and also the up and coming ones. One day Linda decided she wanted to learn to play the bass guitar. Since her children were grown and out of the house and having left her job, Linda had so much free time now she could dedicate herself to learn to play. She asked her husband to teach her and from then on has been playing for about 4 years. Watching the musicians in her husbands band having so much fun for so many years gave her the inspiration to start up her own band. Linda wanted her band to be unique in some way so decided an all female band would be a great idea. So along with Kim Zsamba, the lead vocalist, they searched out to find other female musicians, which was no easy task. In fact they were not able to find a lead guitarist so Linda's husband, Rick has agreed to play with band until they can find a female lead guitarist. Whiskey Girls is the first band that she is officially playing in but has been sitting in with her husband's band, Tequila Rose at their gigs for the past two years and has played at numerous venues such as The Landslide Saloon, Asbury, NJ, The Pub at Pheasants Landing, Hillsborough, The Hillsborough Fair, Rhythms, Manville , The Tallman's Fireman's Banquet, NY and various other affairs. We are all very excited and dedicated to make this the best and may be the only "almost" all female" Country Band in New Jersey and look forward to making our debut very soon.

Create your own fancy glitter text! Drummer/Vocals, Darlene began playing drums when she was in Junior High School and has never stopped. She has been listening to country music from as far back as she could remember. After many years of just playing around in her basement, she decided it was time to join a band. The first country band she joined was called Bandelaro. Since there were many changes in musicians in that band, the new members decided to change the name to Tequila Rose. Darlene played in that band for a few years and then Darlene and the rhythm guitar player decided to break off and form another band called Whiskey River. Darlene is still playing with Whiskey River along with the new band "Whiskey Girls". Darlene just can't get enough of playing drums in country bands, especially ones with the name of some type of liquor in them!!! She also fills in for various other country bands when they are in need of a drummer. Besides playing drums, Darlene decided she wanted to do some singing also. She has been doing some lead vocals with Whiskey River and now also does some lead vocals with the Whiskey Girls also. When she isn't practicing all the songs she has to learn for these bands and gigging, her and her hubby like to cruise around on their motorcyles.

Create your own fancy glitter text! Lead Vocalist - Kim was raised on country music - John Denver, Alabama, Waylon & Willie, Barbara Mandrell and Emmy Lou Harris were heard in her home growing up. Her dad played guitar and family gatherings were spent singing songs from the artists above. As she got older, country faded and rock took a front seat. Kim took piano lessons as a child, but when her teacher learned she had a voice she quickly started taking voice lessons. She sang and danced in all the school musicals and wanted to dance and sing on Broadway. Things didn't turn out as planned but she never quit singing. When Garth Brooks hit the radio, Kim came back to her country roots and has been hooked ever since. With so many great country artists to choose from she is influenced by Trisha Yearwood, Jo Dee Messina, Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban to name a few. Last year Kim took her dream to sing country music one step further and auditioned for Nashville Star. When the opportunity arose to sing with Tequila Rose, Kim jumped at the chance. All of the members of the band have been so supportive of helping her realize her dream. She has performed with them at The Landslide Saloon, Asbury, NJ, The Pub at Pheasant's Landing, Hillsborough, NJ, The Tallman Fireman's Dinner, Tallman, NY, The Hillsborough Fireman's Fair, and the Pinebarron's Festival in Tabernacle, NJ. She is excited about this new project with The Whiskey Girls and works hard learning new songs and staying on top of the latest country hits.

Create your own fancy glitter text! Lead Guitar: After years of playing in some terrific Rock bands, acoustic duos and trios, and Corporate/Party/Wedding bands with some truly amazing musicians, Rick finally decided to follow his heart to what truly inspires him these days as a guitarist....Modern Country Music!!! ...... Since taking the plunge into the world of Hot Chicken’ Pickin’ and Rockin’ country guitars he's had the pleasure of playing in some of the Tri-State areas very best "New Country" bands including "After the Reign", "Cimarron", "The Trump Boys" and currently he is involved in a project with some of Jersey’s very best country musician fronted by the truly outstanding singer/songwriter Rich York. The band is called "Rich York and Caneswitch" and they look forward to some great shows in the tri-state area very soon. Sharing the stage with these bands is an honor for him but his greatest source of musical pride and satisfaction over the past five years has been and continues to be fronting the Modern Country/Rock band "Tequila Rose". This is where he gets to stretch out into "Old school" and modern country along with some Southern and Classic rock, Blues, and Funk. Rick is also helping out in the lead guitar spot with his wife's band, the Whiskey Girls while they continue their search for that great country "female lead guitar player". Always a gear junkie, these days he is playing mostly Telecasters and Vox amps and the occasional guitar synth. Check out his myspace profile for more information at: www.myspace.com/ricknewport07

If you're looking for a great band that covers new and classic country music by some of the most talented and well known female artists from the past to present, then you will love the Whiskey Girls Band. We cover current artists such as Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Trisha Yearwood, Gretchen Wilson, The Dixie Chicks, Miranda Lambert and much more. For those that like the more classic songs, some of the artists covered are Patsy Cline, The Judds, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ann Murray... etc. We even cover some songs by several male artists. The Whiskey Girls band was formed in the summer of 2007 and have enjoyed much success in NJ/PA areas, playing many of the state's large music festivals, fairs, fund raisers, clubs and summer concerts . We have also received some air time on radio station WDIY FM out of Allentown, PA recently and have been invited to do a live interview on this station and have more of our music broadcast in February. Several local newspapers in the area have contacted us to be interviewed and have had articles published in the Entertainment Sections of these newspapers which you can see on this website. The Whiskey Girls are fortunate to have 3 of the 4 girls sing lead and harmonies which gives the band a variety of artists to choose from. The girls also alternate between two very talented male lead guitarists since they were not able to find a female for this slot. If you are interested in hearing some very talented female singers and musicians, you need to book the Whiskey Girls for your next event. Check out our schedule of events for a show near you. If you are interested in booking the Whiskey Girls for an event please send us an e-mail at: whiskeygirlsband@hotmail.com Check out our videos below from our Debut Show at the Landslide Saloon on March 21st and also from our show at the So. CountryHome Forum, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , is one of the biggest Forum for country music in Europe and part of CountryHome, www.countryhome.de , Germany's Premier Online Country Music Magazine.

CountryHome Forum have more than 5,800 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 60,000 readers.

Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.

I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.

Thanks

Christian
