Deep down in the south, amongst the swamp shacks along the banks of the mighty River Torrens delta, Rick Daniels, Phill Provis and David Wilcox blended their individual musical styles. The result is a syrupy fusion of classic Aussie rock and rootsy tobacco blues, infused in a pot of contagious pop melodies - they call it, 'WHISKEY MOJO' ®.
Rick leads the charge with his distinctive vocals, soulful guitar playing and award winning song-writing. Phill is the fine purveyor of luscious and velvety bottom end tone and he nurtures the groove through his classic Fender Jazz bass. David, having come via England, Scotland and Ireland, with an accent to match, has a drumming style that is both laid back and precise, setting up the big hits whilst creating space for his Whiskey Mojo brothers.
Since 2006, the band has been writing, performing, and recording their songs. They are regulars on the Adelaide circuit, playing at the ‘institutions’ of the original music scene, which has also included the Adelaide Fringe. The trio were also lured to play shows in Sydney in 2007, 2008 & 2009, where they also added the finishing touches to their debut EP, ‘Sour Mash & Gravy’ (released on iTunes 2009) - a five track taster of the bands musical offerings.
The EP has generated interest on radio in Australia, Spain, U.S.A. and on the www. Their track, ‘Come on baby’, was also selected for the ‘Blues Highway Volume 1’ compilation CD, presented by Hollywood based label, 272 Records.
The instructions are to pick four people that You want God to Bless right now. I picked you. Please pass this to at least four people you want to pray for and a copy back to me. This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's always pray for one another. Here the prayer: Father, Thank You for each and every day You have blessed us here on earth. Thank You for Your tender mercies. Thank You for giving us friends and family to share these Internet joys with. I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those I care deeply for who are reading this right now. Where there is joy, give them continued joy, Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence. Where there is need, fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings In Jesus' name Amen . (If you choose to send this to more than four people, you are truly blessed to have such friends) I couldn't think of a better person to send this to, thank you for being so sweet. I am blessed to have a friend as sweet as you.
