Whisper rose from an idea of Tristano Della Corte,
who, after many experiences in rock and metal bands,
decided to create an ensemble to play a personal mix
of gothic rock, doom, gothic metal and dark ambient,
without remaining harnessed in the clichés of these musical genres.
In 2006, Whisper realeased their first EP, “Aeons of Decay”,
20 minutes of gothic music
that received an unexpected lot of very positive feedbacks
from all over the world, from fans to magazines,
including some recording contract offers,
which were however refused ‘cause not considered satisfying.
In 2007, the band appeared in the compilation
"United Forces of Phoenix vol. 2",
published by Nomadism Records,
and records a personal upset version
of the Fields of the Nephilim's classic "Blue Water (Electrostatic)"
for "The Nomadism vol. 2: A Tribute to Fields of the Nephilim",
published by Nomadism as well.
In 2008, Whisper realeased their second EP, “Years of Loneliness”,
over 30 minutes of music
that take back the mood of “Aeons of Decay”
inserting some new elements in the sound.
Currently, the band is working on new songs.
