Sounds Like
Well the 6 of us have very different musical backgrounds and we try to incorporate that in our music, rather than feel the need to be a particular style, so I guess you should probably try and make your own mind up and tell us, coz we haven't got a clue...
Whistling Biscuits are Owen Bowley, David Morris, Tom Jackson, Andy Davies, Rhys Owen, and Steve Powell.
We are music lovers making music we love, an acoustic based 6-piece from Cardiff, Wales. Our sound is formed through a fusing of the our varied tastes, so far bringing together elements of Blues, Country, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, Folk, Soul, and more. We've never felt the need to categorise ourselves, we just write music we love, you can make your own mind up.
We formed in February 2007, through a mutual love of genre spanning music and firm friendships, from there we embarked on a mission to write and play whatever style of music we felt like. After 7 months of relentless jamming, writing, and rehearsing, we took to the stages of Cardiff and have continued to build a mighty fine reputation for our live shows since.
Highlights so far have been recording our first e.p 'Stealing Strangers', playing the Coal Exchange closing party on our 2nd gig, headlining the twisted melon stage at Workhouse festival (powercut included), playing The Globe's New Year party (what we remember of it), playing the SAFE foundations barndances, and supporting Ben Ottewell from Gomez.
Future plans include world domination, hopefully in a pleasant way, but we're open to ideas...
