Hi! My name's Davide Mazzantini, i'm a guitarist and obviously i am a deep lover of music in its several shapes.
I'm playing both acustic and eletric guitar from several years, and i'm always trying to find new ways to play it and to express myself.
Besides plectrum i study fingerpicking, bottleneck and a little about effects...My first purpose is to reach a sound that i can feel mine, and obviously, to compose music that better convey what i feel.
I had a Rock/Sperimental band "CrabLouse": we made our music, with, from my point of view, an interesting sound, but the other components of the band considered music as a hobby (that's not exactly what i'm looking for) and so its all over...but if you are interested in listening some of my tunes to get a better idea of what is my sound, and to look some (old!!) lives on videos (to see how i play) check www.myspace.com/thecrablouse
I got a mission now and it's to create a serius and motivated band, the tunes you can hear in this space are made by me with a "homely" multitracker and drums-machine, and they represent (especialy the first ones) what i'd like to play. So i'm searching for a bassist, a drummer and even for a keyboarder. COME ON!
Until this moment i've listened rock, from classic to more sperimental, blues from its roots, jazz, psychedelich and even rap, soul rock, raggae ecc ecc. I don't get limits in listening: what i'm looking for is the FEELING. You can obviously find influences of my musical education in my tunes and in the tunes of my ex band (i repeat: the tunes you hear in this page are mine)..
In the end, i hope to find musicians interested in my project and to exchange opinions about music!

Salve! Mi chiamo Davide Mazzantini sono un chitarrista e (non a caso) profondo amante della musica e delle sue molteplici forme e soluzioni.
Suono ormai da un pò di anni la 6 corde sia acustica che elettrica e cerco di trovare sempre nuove forme per suonarla e esprimermi tramite lei; oltre al plettro studio fingerpicking, bottleneck e un minimo di effettistica….il mio principale scopo è il raggiungimento di un sound che possa sentire mio e ovviamente comporre musica in grado di trasmettere al meglio ciò che provo.
Ho un gruppo rock/sperimentale dove si fa musica nostra, purtroppo per gli altri componenti, è solo un hobby e quindi non è esattamente ciò che cerco, se in tutti i casi siete interessati a sentire alcuni pezzi per farvi un idea più ampia dell mio sound, e vedervi alcuni video live (per capire anche in parte come suono) andate a: http://www.myspace.com/thecrablouse; la mia missione ora come ora è formare una band seria e motivata, i pezzi che sentite in questo space sono stati fatti da me in un 8 piste "casalingo" e rappersentano (sopratutto i primi) ciò che vorrei suonare...cerco di conseguenza: bassista, batterista e anche un tastierista. Fino ad ora i miei ascolti hanno variato dal rock più classico al più sperimentale, dalle radici del blues, jazz, psichedelica fino al rap e al soul rock ecc ecc…Non mi pongo dei limiti negli ascolti ciò che cerco è il feeling di un pezzo; ovviamente l’influenze del mio “bagaglio” musicale si ritroveranno nei miei pezzi e in quelli del mio gruppo (i pezzi che troverete in questa pagina ripeto sono appunto miei)…Detto questo mi auguro di fare tante amicizie interessanti, trovare musicisti interessati al mio progetto e di poter scambiare qualche parere musicale con chi ha da offrirne!
