The White Iron Band is good timin, foot stompin, honky tonkin, good ole Americian music. Their music has a unique flavor, but a familiar groove. The band's roots extend from the Iron Range and the North woods of Minnesota to the neon downtowns of Minneapolis and St. Paul, and their varied experiences are reflected in their music. The White Iron Bands distinctive style comes from a mix of commanding lead vocals, beautiful harmonies, bad ass guitar licks, keyboards, melodic fiddle, and a driving rhythm section. These guys never fail to get people out of their seats and dancing all night.
The White Iron Band started their musical adventure in the cold northern town of Ely, MN. After two years of playing to the wild and crazy crowd on the range, the band knew it was time to bring their show to Minneapolis. After months of playing various clubs in the city, the White Iron Band found its home at the Five Corners Saloon on the historic and musically renowned West Bank of Minneapolis. The band had played every Thursday night for 3 years to large and enthusiastic crowds and has developed a fiercely loyal fan base. In the spring of 2003, the White Iron Band said goodbye to its Thursday night gig and has started to tour the Midwest, growing their fan base and spreading their music.
The White Iron Band is now promoting their most recent LP "Devils Sweet Revenge" which has been regarded by critics as their finest album to date. The LP is a hard hitting mixture of blues and rock that grabs you and never lets go.
The White Iron Band has been traveling the north for a good while and has the opportunity to share shows with such acts as Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Particle, The Big Wu, Arrested Development, Willie Waldman, String Cheese Incident, Leftover Salmon, Buckethead, Les Claypool, the Black Crows, Shooter Jennings, and Widespread Panic. They have also opened for Country legends like Sherwin Linton, Stonewall Jackson, Tommy Cash, and Marvin Rainwater. The White Iron Band has been bringing good music to good people all over the North and has become a staple in the Minnesota music scene "'Take it off the Top' , arguably the best studio album ever issued by a Minnesota jam band"
"one of the Top Ten Minnesota album's of '05"

I don't know if you've looked at your profile lately, but you should erase the Jeremiah Jams comment, it lays in music while your player is going, which is really confusing and hard to find the source for viewers to stop his rude addition.

Tomorrow Thursday May 7, 2009 Iron Horse will be hosting a Music For Food Benefit Drive at Wyatt Earp’s 7550 Hwy 10 Ramsey MN 55303. The benefit concert starts at 8:30 pm; there will be a silent auction with all the proceeds from the auction going to the ACBC Anoka Food Shelf. For every dollar we earn they are able to distribute nine dollars in food items to families in need. Local businesses have donated vouchers for services for the auction and these items will be on display for your bidding pleasure.
Also there will be a food collection point for all the non-perishable donations. Last year the food shelf distributed over 300,000 pounds of food to families in need and they had a demand for twice that amount. So we are asking for can goods, dry foods and other non-perishables to help the food shelf meet the growing demand of families in need. There is a list of items they need below.
We realize many of you have to work Friday and we join you in that quest each member of Iron Horse will be reporting to their jobs on Friday morning with a heart full of knowing that they helped a good cause. We ask that you come even if just for a short time. This is for a really good cause and it will help so many families. Families of people you know or someone in your family may one day need the help of the Food Shelf and what we collect on Thursday may go a long way in helping them.
