Having your own Personal 800 Number allows you to received call directly from your hearing callers without the complication of extension number or instruction. This is VERY POPULAR SERVICE.
****Here How Your Personal 800 Number Works****
1. The hearing caller dials your 800 number using a standard telephone or a cellular phone.
2. A video interpreter answer the call and automatically connects the hearing caller to your video phone or webcam.
3 Your VRS call is now underway!
****VPALERT****
With vpALERT, Personal 800 Customers of CSDVRS are paged to notify them that they are about to receive a call on their videophone. This innovative service allows Customers to be anywhere in the vicinity of their videophone and be notified that someone is about to call them through video relay- as well as telling them the phone number of who's calling. Using vpALERT, Customers should not miss any calls while they are within nearby walking distance of their videophone and they don't have to rely on visual flasher to signal an incoming call.
****WHO JUST CALLED****
This service involves CSDVRS immediately sending a pager message and/or text message to Personal 800 Customer with the name and phone number of the person who just tried to call them through VRS.
So, You'll know who it was and what number they called from! This is similar to "CALLER ID" service available for hearing people, except that it only comes after a failed attempt to connect with the deaf/hard of hearing person's VP(Due to the person not answering the VP or the call not getting through the VP Due to inaccurate contact information in the Customer's profile).
***** VIDEO MAIL*****
With our Video Mail service you get a free personal answer machine. if you are not available to answer your VRS call, your caller can leave a message for you. The interpreter will record a signed video message, sent it to your email address, and then send you a message to let you know if it's there. If you have a PDA that support video message you may be able to play the message right away.
****VCO****
Voice Carry-OVER, like VRS, allows deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to make and receive telephone calls to/from any hearing person. However, with VCO, the deaf or hard-of-hearing person is able to use their own voice to speak directly to the hearing caller. By utilizing a real-time video connection to an interpreter (through a TV or a PC), and a real-time telephone connection to the hearing caller, a deaf or hard-of-hearing individual speaks directly to the hearing caller and views/lip-reads the interpreter sign what the hearing person is saying. You can call the doctor, order pizza, call the family.... Call any hearing person using (VCO)-and let any hearing person call you.
Three communication options are available for VCO users; American Sign Language, English Based sign language, and English Based sign language + Lip reading.
****SPANISH VRS****
This service allows deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to make and received telephone calls to/from any hearing person that speaks Spanish. By utilizing a real-time video connection to an interpreter (through a TV or a PC), a sign language user communicates with video interpreter, who relays the conversation between the sign language user and the hearing person who speaks Spanish. The interpreter is involved in real-time and in complete confidence for the entire call. Call the doctor, call a neighbor, call the family... Call any hearing person using Spanish VRS--and let any hearing person call you.
Spanish VRS is available 24 hour a day, 7 day a week. You can Place call in the USA or call internationally to over 45 countries. If you want to use your own voice to speak directly to someone who speak Spanish -- terrific-- use our Voice carry over (VCO) service.
****V-Meeting****
This is a conference calling service that allows 3-25 people to participate in a real-time conference call using video relay services. Participants in a V- Meeting can be a mis of deaf, hard of hearing and hearing people and CSDVRS will connect to everyone together, simultaneously , through our high quality video interpreter.
****V-MEETING IS IDEAL FOR****
** Corporate business conference calls where some participants are deaf and hard of hearing and some are hearing.
** Regular weekly, bi-weekly or monthly meetings for commitees or boards.
** Important meetings with doctors, lawyers, educators and other professionals when not everyone can physically attend the meeting.
** Regular or occasional family meetings.
