About me:

I am a self-taught, published artist. I have never gone to school, or have been professionally trained in any of the art Medias that I use. Art to me is very personal and I believe it comes from a deep part of our soul. Since early childhood, I knew I wanted to be an Artist. That motivated and encouraged me to work with different forms of art including sketching, pen and ink, working with pastels, writing, photography, painting and computer art. I honestly believe that each artist has a core inspirational motive that encourages their art. My inspiration comes from all the beauty I see in life and nature. Life is very busy and so much of the natural beauty is passed by, because everyone is moving at such a fast pace. My art means so much more to me then just putting a picture together or its monetary value. Every picture I create, I create it with hopes that it will inspire someone to stop and take a moment from their busy life to absorb a fraction of life’s precious gift, “Beauty”. Every artist will see the same object differently and every artist through their own creativity and imagination will be able to bring life to that object. For me, my art is very spiritual. It gives me a chance to give a little something back to the world for all of the gifts I feel I have been given. A dream come true for me; was when a publication company wanted to use one of my pictures in a deck of Inspirational Cards they were designing. When I win awards or when a piece that I created is purchased, of course I honor the monetary aspect of it, but knowing something I created will be hanging in a home or given as a gift, really brings the true honor of being an artist to life for me.
