About me:
White Paws GSD Rescue is a non-profit organization founded by a small group of people dedicated to the German Shepherd Dog breed. All monies collected are put toward helping the dogs to find a better life. We conduct home visits, coordinate training, transport dogs to and from the veterinary office, conduct fund-raisers and bring dogs to select locations so they can meet the public, and the public can meet them to see what a wonderful companion they truly are. We are working to educate the public about the German Shepherd Dog breed and also the importance of spaying/neutering to help keep the pet population under control.
If you can help this little guy plz e-mail me!!There is someone who can pull for a rescue group!!! Cathy

4830 Garth - WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT GARTH
He has been living outside for 5 years. Purchased from a breeder at 2 years of age. Grew up with a female dog. Has not made a peep since being dumped. He is 7 years old, underweight. AND NO GSD GROUPS WILL TAKE HIM WHY!!! Some group has shown interest, what ever that may mean in the young long haired female GSD, but Garth has been passed over, and over by everyone
He is timid, his card read that he is protective, no small children. The staff do not think he would be comfortable being inside a home. A farm/ranch for this boy? But where he would receive love and not be thrown out like a piece of rubbish.. He is 10-20lbs underweight

A little over two months ago I got my fifth GSD but this is the first time I ever got one from a shelter instead of a breeder. She is so outgoing and lovable. It's hard to believe someone gave up on her at just 6 months old and turned her over to the shelter! I was glad of my timing at the shelter since they told me most GSD's get turned over the rescue groups because many people just don't understand them. So I really feel like I rescued her. Love the work that you do!
