White Russian began life in late 2006 as a side project that creators Simon Ramsay and Fergus Gilroy started whilst in a local rock band. After that band split they decided to turn White Russian from an idea to have a creative outlet with no barriers...into their main musical focus.
With this in mind the pair got to work...and started 2007 with a ton of new music written for White Russian. At this stage they looked to recruit some full time members for the band and bought in their friends Jonathan Thompson and Katherine Marsh to share vocal duties. After a long search the band line up was finally completed with Pete Trusler on drums by the Summer of 2007. The band played regular live shows for the rest of the year and started 2008 in the studio, looking to record their large catalogue of songs.
With the first batch of songs now ready for release White Russian are again back playing live with more releases planned throughout the year.
