Pina coladas, getting caught in the rain. I love making love at midnight.
Seems like there is more to that song, but that's all I can think of.
Music
I'm a jazz guy, but I like most stuff, minus top 40 and gangsta (c)rap. I really like Jeff Buckley, Ben Folds, Wilco, Guster, Keane, Snow Patrol, Jack Johnson, David Gray and Willie Nelson. I would say my two favorite rock bands would have to be the now: Foo Fighters, and the all-time: The Beatles. Hell, my kids have Beatles surnames for their middle names.
Movies
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a sucker for the romantic comedies. So, shoot me. Stuff like When Harry Met Sally and Beautiful Girls- I'm comfortable with it. Also a fan of superhero and fantasy stuff. Love the porn.
Television
Scrubs, House, My Name is Earl, Justice League Unlimited and sports. Mostly sports.
Books
Our boys are named for literary stars, one the character and one the author. We read a lot. Lots of fantasy and stuff like that, but I'm a Hemingway guy at heart. Best books I've ever read were Catch 22, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Ha-Ha, A Breathtaking Work of Staggering Genius and Dress Your Family in Denim and Corduroy. You look up the authors. It's more productive than messing around on MySpace.
Heroes
When I was a kid I put Arnold Schwartzanager (sp?) as my hero in my school yearbook. I don't know what the hell I was thinking
maybe i'm just more dense than i was last year, or maybe i'm just too tired to recall...
but what the /hell/ were you trying to say with jazz?
its like trying to interpret Dreaming of December all over again. haha.
(this is what happens when i go through my bookmarks. :])
totally still love it. thought you should know.
"Jazz got under you, in you, worked you up, and whispered promises in the dark. Rap cuts to the chase. It picks up where jazz left off. It doesn't tease you with what you want; it tells you how to get it. Jazz is to rap what dreams are to reflections. I stand between."
