Whitney B. has been around the music scene since 2001, first as a solo act, then playing for years with super talent Chris Walker on bass, her now husband Mark Szabo on guitar (after starting out as the trio's drummer) and a rotating cast of rock solid drummers, including Shawn Elsbernd (Shawn Elsbernd quartet) and Marvin Hawkins (Marvin Hawkins and the Experience). In 2005, Whitney won a Cincinnati Entertainment award for Singer/Songwriter of the year. .. .. In 2007, bassist/musical soulmate Chris Walker was involved in a serious car accident, which he is currently recovering from. In August of 2008, Whitney and Mark began to play shows again as a duo, and can now be found here and there around town and beyond. They imagine they might bring some more musicians in during Chris' recovery... right now though, they just have songs to share and sing, and so the shows are full of songs stripped down to their acoustic hearts. .. ..
