As a toddler, Whitney was given a dollar (two on good nights) to entertain her Mam and Pop and the crowd they brought home from the bar they ran in Prince Edward Island. The crowd pleaser was Hank's 'Tear in My Beer' but she would whip out Keith Whitley's 'Don't Close Your Eyes' when dealing with particularly tough to reach audiences. She has never refused a performance of either tunes at the aforementioned rates and will not to this day. She has not stopped performing since and now resides in Toronto where she just recorded her first EP with Blue Rodeo's multi-talented Bob Egan producing.

"Whitney had an irresistible stage presence, and was as riveting to watch
as she was to listen to. She displayed great poise and confidence when
singing...And her voice, well, how to find the words to describe this young girl's
talent. This young woman had a tremendous, powerful voice, with that
old-fashioned quality to it, beautifully trained with that lovely
signature warble to it as she held particular notes." Lynn Peppasfor, The Tribune*****************************************************************
“Whitney Rose sang effortlessly and sweetly the songs from eras gone by, putting us in a soft, swaying mood as she escorted us on a journey in time travel. Close your eyes and let Whitney bring you back to days gone by - even if you've not lived them, she'll make you feel like you are sitting in a gin joint next to Bogie and Bacall. Whitney is a sensory invasion in a most alluring way." Sandy Pedersen, Talent Scout Event Coordinator, Fort Erie Festivals************************************************************
“Right from the first note I was stunned at the quality of Whitney's voice! It was reminiscent of hearing Connie Francis for the first time in the 60's. I was mesmerized by Connie's voice, I was mesmerized by Whitney's voice in the same way. This is a woman with real talent!” Dirk Wiens***********************************************
"Every now and then a vocal talent comes along that truly stands out from the pack. Whitney is that voice" Donna Martens Gamm 91-7 GIANT FM ™
my, that Runaway Lane is such a splendid song! it plays like a long, blissful autumn drive through the countryside, moving past the tallest trees flush with memory, and the road signs bare not destinations, but glimpses into the Rose philosophy. ahem...i mean it's cool and stuff.
I always love hearing Country done in a raw, heartfelt way. your songs and vocals are simple and pure. makes me feel like slippin' into a rockin' chair on the front porch on a warm summer night...........thanks!!

Hey you! I just listened to your new Kevvy Z produced tunes - sounds GREAT! Especially Crimson Red, which simply has "hit" written all over it! Made me very homesick for a little WR/KJ time - can't wait to see you when you get back! Joah sends his love (and giggles!).
It was a long trip home, but it needed to be, to reflect on all the magic from the last couple of weeks - thanks for that. When you sing "I'm doin' time...", you will have to trust that some sacred spirit of harmony will have me there with you.
I'm hitting the road in a couple of weeks to raise money for War Child, Coast-to-coast – 50 cities – ALL PROCEEDS TO WARCHILD. Why? 66% of all war victims are CHILDREN. Shocked like me? War Child helps these children that have been affected by war. Check out the new blog – the whole story is up there. Love to have you be a part of it.
You’ll find a Blog, Tour page and a Bio page. I’ll be blogging daily from the road.
