I'm not a big fan of country, and almost everything else is fair game. If you're talking specific performers or bands, the list goes thusly: Josh Groban, John Williams, Tenacious D (only for Jack Black), Jose Gonzales, Don Omar, Michael Buble, Dean Martin, Cary Brothers, Frank Sinatra, Elliott Smith, Imogen Heap, Ben Gibbard, Death Cab, Fallout Boy, Jimmy Eat World, Story of the Year, Yellowcard, Greenday (who doesn't like Greenday...), Paul Simon, the Eagles, Something Corporate, John Lennon, Smile Empty Soul, Sufjan Stevens, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, Jack's Mannequin, Coldplay, Looking Glass...don't make me go any farther. My brain can't take it.
Movies
Star Wars collection, *Harry Potter collection, *Lord of the Rings trilogy, *Fight Club, Galaxy Quest, American Bellydancer, Dogma, Garden State, Wedding Crashers, Meet the Fockers, Star Trek collection, High Fidelity, The Hours, Thank You for Smoking, and various others. These are just the ones that jump out at me. And the ones with an asterisk next to them...those are movies based on books that are WAY better than the film version. Just saying.
Television
House, Boston Legal, Grey's Anatomy, and pretty much anything that includes "amazing videos" in the name. Cop chases, drug busts, an acrobat doing 50 backflips in a row...I'm there.
Books
Aw, jeez...Harry Potter. The Naming. Speechless. Haunted. Fight Club. Alice in Wonderland. A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Shakespeare. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The Giver. The Neverending Story. The Qu'ran. The Princess Bride. The Incident of the Black Dog at Midnight. Flowers for Algernon. The Alchemist. Frankenstein. Alone in Mecca. Challenger Park. Burned. Orphans of Chaos. Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Book of Shadows. Lord of the Rings. Transitions. Et cetera, et cetera.
Heroes
Neil deGrasse Tyson. Carl Sagan. They are inspirations and role models for what I wish to one day become.
I have traveled to the other side of the world with the love of my life. Together, we've cast off the burdens of the everyday and are learning how to really live in the world. We've jumped off cliff faces in Morocco, swum beneath waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains, explored the labyrinthine corridors of medieval marketplaces, staged sit-ins outside the stalls of elusive Marrakech shopkeepers, scaled dunes at midnight in the Sahara Desert, slept on rooftops beneath a canopy of stars, walked the halls of timeworn palaces, and made lasting bonds with our second family who all live together in a small village just outside of Ouarzazate. In the next cycle of our adventures, we will travel to some of the most ancient, mysterious, and revered cities in the world. We will glide down the waters of primeval rivers, hear the moaning and singing of the desert jinn, and live free and open in the world with nothing but two backpacks, two hats, and a map.
The people who prize their possessions over unique experiences, the people who prize the material more than a life with meaning...those are people I never understood very well, and I understand them even less nowadays. I consider myself to be a good person who still makes mistakes, a person who is always willing to learn something new, and a person who strives everyday to look at the bigger picture (which is that Earth is just a small blue dot spinning around an unremarkable sun hanging on the arm of an unremarkable spiral galaxy amongst countless billions of other galaxies...which means that really, all our problems have virtually no importance in the greater scheme of things, and we should start paying attention to the things in life that really matter). I think about big things, like the universe and God and music and outer space. I try to stay away from silly pointless things, like reality television and bar-hopping and celebrity gossip. I live mostly by paying attention to both my intuition and my conscience, staying wary of organized religion, and making my best attempts to realize all of my "personal legends."
Yea tell me about it! But that is so sweet you show their pictures....if you ever need new ones let me know. But I am so pleased to hear how beautiful they are!!!! And of course you will have gorgeous children someday!!!!
They cannot tell just yet if they are fraternal or identical. Scott (hubby) thinks they will be identical but it is still a little early to tell.
I just got my tuque in the mail, It's perfect!! I've never had a hat fit better and it looks and feels great. Seriously, you could make a killing with these, you can't find them anywhere, and few people have the skills you obviously have. I'l be wearing this week and post some pictures soon.
Sounds great!! Your pictures are always interesting!! I always check them to see if there are new ones up!! And- yes I do remember your angry look!! You got that way sometimes in Carson's class!! LOL

I totally agree but it will be a long time before we have the money. My boyfrineds brother's girlfriend is from Ghonna(sp) in Africa. She is actually a princess in her tribe. They are going in December and if they get married there sometime we will go for sure. I'm starting school the 23rd. I'm so excited. I wanna work in the NICU!
Dude. We are totally the same age. I don't think I've ever known one of my friends to be the same age as me. Ever. They are always older. But that's pretty cool :)
'going out' is an understatement. more like unofficially engaged without any of the even remote semblances of traditional engagements other than the inviolable bond between us and your unending infatuation with me. <33
