Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.
Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family: all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other.
Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful.

On a slippery, snowy night we ventured to Foxwoods Casino and Resort. To enjoy the sold out Jill Scott concert to relax and cavort. The Grand Pequot Ballroom provided the perfect intimate setting for the night. Nestled in the paradise palace agaisnt a backdrop of starlight. "Who Is Jill Scott" from Philly, the radiant and effervescent story teller. With 3 backup singers and the Fatback Taffy band of five talented fellas. With a beaming smile and sultry voice, Jill neede no introduction. She just took the stage, grabbed the mic and implemented her own seduction. My She-ro wore a black sweater, finged skirt, ankle boots and twists beneath a hat. The octave climbing poet scampered across the stage like a sleek and smooth cat. Talk about ’rice and gravy, black eye peas and biscuits baby" "It’s Love" we had for Jill no if’s ands or maybes. AS the audience sang along with her of this she was truly humbled and touched. Then the veritable Jill emerged to the surface as she hid her face and blushed. Lyrically blending notes, words, motion, themes and rhyme. This oratory genius flowed from the epitome to the sublime. Crooning "there’s just me, one is the magic number" while massageing our passion. This dexterous libretto sauteed our multicultural souls in unique and tranquil passion. Like a javelin of joy in our java juice she smothered all our tears. Jills jaw jingling juicy jams were like jewels to our ears. There was no "getting in the way" when she offered a drumstick and I bolted to stage from my seat. Saying thank you Jill and with a chat and photos it made the night complete. What an "Experience" Jill Scott was, so much more than we expected her to be. As the audeince chanted for an encore, simply put, she’s right, "Baby You Got Me". love and hugs, Linnet (Nnet)
