BOYD BLUESY AND BLISSFUL
John Boyd knows the drill with his music by now. After a few listens, you might wonder why this man is smiling at all. You've just got to listen harder, says Boyd. Get past the moody sound on most songs and he's singing about God, his wife and getting over the lousy side of life. .....

4 STARS OUT OF 5
"Gotta keep on singing this sad song," croons Niagara Falls' John Boyd on the first song of his debut cd. "One day it's gonna bring my baby back home." If it means more albums as good as this, she can take her time . .....

MUSICIAN OF MYSTERY
Just who in the world is John Boyd?
Sitting in a quiet corner at the Victoria Inn bar in Niagara Falls, Boyd is relaxed, sipping at a glass of scotch on the rocks while looking out at the rain and commotion outside. The demeanor of the man is
much like the music he creates whenever he picks up a guitar - light easy going and .....

WHO IS JOHN BOYD ?
Recent reviews have compared his soulful style to such icons as Nick Drake and the Cowboy Junkies with one critic firmly declaring Boyd to be the love child of Jim Morrison and Joni Mitchell. In the end, it all adds to the mystery surrounding this unique and gifted artist.
Born in Toronto Ontario, John grew up no stranger to hard times. Although he speaks little of his past, carefully choosing his words and the stories he wishes to tell, it does shed some light on where his muse for songwriting originates. Listen to any track on his debut CD (See My Cat) and you get the feeling you're eavesdropping on a man sitting peacefully in some room, strumming calmly on an old guitar, playing songs for no one but himself. Miraculously, any drums or bass that find their way into a song are almost instantaneously tuned out until all you're left with is the sound of a gentle man - exposed, shy, magnetic and terribly complex.
Over the past year Boyd's music has evolved immensely. Transforming, fine-tuning and repackaging itself as growing appeal and demand for live performances have forced Boyd out of the woodwork and into the spotlight. Endless talent breeds endless possibilities. This is where he stands now. What lies ahead however remains as mysterious as the man himself. Who is John Boyd?

Hey John, 'Pour Me a Drink' is a great song!! Umm...just don't have too many of those drinks, ok!! A staggering singer who can't remember the words to his songs is not good!! LOL Have a great weekend!! Janice :)
being on the spiritual path. being on the spiritual path is having the hunger that makes us seek and ask..and the spiritual is the beautiful and whatever makes us dance and laugh..the spiritual path is like a river and how water wears away the stone..of the islands we are stranded on all alone..and like a child running and playing in the rain..a sunflower on a cloudy day waiting for the sun to shine again..the growing pains and is our souls giving birth..to a new heaven and a more perfect earth.
Hi John I still can't decide what my favourite song is yet on "See My Cat". I really love each one when they are playing but I usually play "Home" twice each time. You may not believe this but my cat Cleo sits with me & listens to the whole CD every time purring all the way. Honest. I hope "The Beat Goes On" has lots of copies because I am going to buy some more next week to give as gifts. I'm not patient enough to wait until Christmas so the recipients are getting them now. Have a great day every day. Patti (=^..^=)
Wow. I ordered the CD within an hour of listening to "She Saved Me". You are really talented, and if you play in or around St Catharines, Ontario ... I'd love to go see!
