"Once upon a time", is'nt that how all good tales start? or as they say down south, "y'all ain't gonna beeelive this shit".
Long story very short, It's 1990 and Jose, George and Sable, after haveing survived a horrble hangover from the decade that was the 80'S, decided to start a band.
Bored with everything going on around them, they return to their first love, simple, fast, stripped down New York City rock n roll with major attitude.
They hook up with Frank Neal from "da bronx" and off they went. Playing every beer party, bar, club, squat, strip joint they could fit into a 7 day weekend.
After 2 trips into local nieghborhood recording studios and a couple of hundred dollars later, the results were The 1st Demo and Greed, two no frills DYI releases that not only got great reviews, but where a true reflection
of life in the big apple for these 4 outcasts.
In a way these songs are a heartfelt tribute to a pre Rudy Guliani/Bloomberg-gentrified NYC, a politically incorect time when you could get your windshield wiped by a homeless crackhead, walk down the street with an open beer bottle, and solicite cheap sex and illegal drugs on 42nd street. Oh how we yearn for those "happy days".
Being that these recordings were never reissued after the original pressings were sold out, you can consider these songs "old new stock", so this page will serve as a trip down the boulevard of drunken dreams for those who were there and a great introduction for those who weren't.

Jose, I found a video of WKB from '98(it was shot at...at....I forgot the name of the place on Houston and avenue A. It's a bit dark but still fun - I'll try to make a copy. G.
