Early 90’s New York City Punk Rock bastard children of the 1977 CBGB’S punk scene. One part Ramones, Dead Boys and cheap beer, Two parts New York life experiences of growing up in the "dirty burbs", the 718ers, the nieghborhoods where the hipsters won't go.
CB’s Glory days were long gone by the 90’s, but when WKB? Hit the stage at The Continental Divide, The Scrap Bar, ABC no Rio, and Coney Island High, you started to wonder if The Son of Sam was just outside waiting for you.
These songs are a heartfelt tribute to a pre Rudy Guliani/Bloomberg-gentrified NYC, a politically incorect time when you could get your windshield wiped by a homeless crackhead, walk down the street with an open beer bottle, and solicite cheap sex and illegal drugs on 42nd street. Oh how we yearn for those "happy days".
This page will serve as a trip down the boulevard of drunken dreams for those who were there and a great introduction for those who weren't.
In the blog section you'll find reviews and other band paraphernalia from that era.
This page will be updated and we'll dig deeper into the band's history and other recordings, and bring you updates on their latest shenanigans.
"Punk's an attitude, not a fashion statement"
