Was formed in 1992. By 1994 had released the album `Metropolis` on Candlelight records. Portishead did a remix of a song on that album in 1993 it is available here.
In 1996 Whores released `Kumari` in the Portuguese `Skyfall` label and in 1998 The Whores changed their name to `SOUNDISCIPLES` and in 1999 released `Undefined` on the `Music for Nations / Peaceville` labels. During that year touring with PITCHSHIFTER and PARADISE LOST.
Although SOUNDISCIPLES are still around. The Whores of Babylon was reformed in 2002 by founder member Gobz, some live studio recordings were made that year and now new material is in the pipeline from 2006 onwards
In 2007/2008 the Whores along with their sister band SOUNDISCIPLES look set to release new albums on the new Bristol based LOVEGUN RECORDS
