Savage, Dysfuncional Punk Rock band from South West Michigan.
The Whores of Babylon were in one way or another formed after the bastardized Boom & the Legion of Doom fizzled out, 1992, due to bastardized side projects such as Plainfield. Whores of Babylon founding member Johnny Drackett was dubbed Psycho Johnny by Rhonda (RadioFlyers) in the Bay area while perusing a solo project backed by a collection of Ronnie Montrose’s ex-hired guns playing open mic nights at the Driftwood.
Upon Johnny’s return to Michigan in 2000 the Whores of Babylon were officially formed.
Original members included on Vocals: Ben Lyon (Hot Beef Injection), Guitar: Psycho Johnny (Boom & the Legion of Doom), Drums: Crack Head Timmy (Kona Buds, Boneyard) and an assortment of unmentionable Bassist before a short stint with brain edwards. Mark Hoag on drums on and off for four plus years.
Later again summer 2004 Jimmy Young (Idiots, Sioux City IA) was thrown into the mix.
Throughout the years and rotating members the Whores of Babylon have developed a loyal following due to Psycho Johnny’s explosive guitar playing and Ben Lyon’s chaotic antics resembling Stiv Bators or a young Iggy Pop behind the microphone. The two may not always get along, but when it comes down to show time they rarely, if ever, disappoint.
Over the years the Whores of Babylon have had the opportunity to share a stage with bands such as: the Weirdos, River City Rebels, Hill Side Stranglers, Spits, Clone Defects, Human Eye, the Crunchies, I Attack, Motto, Fashion Fashion and Image Boys, Glorified Trash, Dangerville, Dalyla da Wylde, Broadzilla, Lost Sounds, Nobody’s Favorite, Cheezetones, Potatoe Babies, the Nasty’s, Flirt, Choking Susan, Divining Rods, and so on…..

THE CAVITY CREEPS '4 Song Demo' is up and FREE!!!!! Thats right! Finally the long awaited '4 Song demo' that we recorded @ Noise Pollution Studios in Warren, MI is 99% done so we jumped the gun and posted it for you to download and listen to, the lyrics are also posted with the songs in the jukebox!
Please let us know what you think and we are gonna have a fan contest coming up where you can design the cd cover for the demo when we release it!!! More info on that in a few days or so!!
