WHOSANE
A rapper from Brooklyn New York. Whosane born Abdi Hussein is one half of the group 7one8 and is currently completing his solo debut “Black Diamond” which features "7one8"The Bronx and Brooklyn, and "Pangaea" of South Africa! Anwar Supa Star, Mos def, and producers Dj Kallisto and Preservation among others collabo with whosane to produce an amazing project, set for release in late 2009
Whosane began writing songs when he was 16 years old and his first music confrontation came when he turned 17 where he was signed to Mobious Entertainment and flown to the west coast of the USA where he opened for ‘Mos Def’ and ‘Blackalicious,’ it was here where he realised his true passion within the industry and he pushed himself to pursue his dream.
He features on Al Be Back’s solo album titled ‘Hi’ released on the 26th of March 2009. He has shared stages with Mos Def, Main Flow, Killa Priest, Phil Da Agony, Mobb Deep, Ron Patterson, Chen Lo, Chase Infinite, Anwar and Dead Prez to name but a few. He has also worked with various producers KAO, Madlib, Bedrock, Jerz, K Billion, Just One, Allusive, Kallisto and Preservation and therefore brings a lot of experience to the group. Whosane has permeated most of America’s premier Hip Hop magazines and websites like XXL, Source, Murder Dog, Datpiff, Hip Hop DX, All Access Hip Hop, Imeem, The Eminem Blog. He has also worked with South African heavy weight Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP) and also Young Nations, Nadine (UK) and Obita.

I was sorry I came a bit late and missed the beginning of your set. Come back to Van again so I can see the whole thing man! :) I will definitely be watching out for you again.
I saw you perform at the Mos Def show in Calgary and was blown away at how talented you are. Your style is EXACTLY the kind of hip hop I love -- in the hardcore tradition of KRS (love the pic btw), Mos, Nas, Guru, etc. WHOSANE: remember the name! This guy is gonna be huge. PS I bought the CD (Prelude to the Black Diamond Album). It is crazy good. Whosane's flow is fierce and fluid. Damn!!! My favorite song: COLLECT THE WINNINGS. Do your thing brother; I'll be waiting for the CD (I'll buy it whatever which way). You got me supporting you 100%.
