White Fang has been many bands over the years. Initially, in high school, they played with toy instruments and making really precious songs about climbing trees and frenching girls. They played a gig in Vancouver, BC at one point, telling their parents they were camping. After that they started playing louder, refusing to play on the stage, tackling audience members, and causing mayhem. Soon they started playing shows they weren't setting up themselves in their neighborhood, past the "cultural" areas of Portland, out amongst the strip-malls and family-filled apartment complexes farther east. Along the way they befriended and were taken under the wing of the family of poets, psychics, jammers, and travelers that is Marriage Records. The boys started making friends and garnering a crew of homies to play with/for. After high school they moved into a house in the city called SK8 & Rhone, on 8th and Rhone. Soon they released a CD of songs called Pure Evil that is now sold out and completed a West Coast tour with White Rainbow and Rob Walmart. Shortly after that they toured the US, at first along the West Coast with Adrian Orange, then meeting up with Seattle rappers Mad Rad in Kansas City, MO. Along the tour they broke two van, had to carry all their gear/luggage/merch/sleeping bags onto a train, ride in the back of a U-Haul during a blizzard from New Haven, CT to Buffalo, NY with only blankets and brandy, and take three separate flights back to the West Coast. Not long after their return they, along with the rest of their housemates, were evicted from SK8 & Rhone. For nearly four months the boys were crashing on guest beds, girlfriends' beds, couches, and floors. Currently they reside mere blocks from SK8 & Rhone at a house called the Meat Factory where they have shows and practice. In November they are releasing a vinyl record on Marriage Records called Whatever.
Someone changed the venue for the show tonight on pc-pdx and added big black cloud to the bill-- do you have any idea of why this happened? Because we are still setting it up for being at the camel house.
