A lot of people ask me why B.Fly? What does the B stand for?!
Well its a whole way of life for me. The B is what you make it. It could be whatever. Insert word HERE!
I feel like I came full circle on this musical journey and the rest is what I make it.
be fly. love life. love music. move.
I am one of those people whose mind never stops moving. Whether thats hyperactivity or energy, or BOTH..?
I love breaks. I love the birth of breaks and where they have come in the last 10 years.
My love of electronic music began in 1994 with the great warehouse clubs of London. I would go for the music alone during this time that house and garage ruled my world! London will always be where my soul resides because it shaped not only my musical tastes, but also exposed me to so much diversity before I knew what to do with it.
After moving to Florida in 1999 at age 17, I couldn't ignore the massive breaks scene. Home of the infamouse EDGE nightclub owned by DJ Icey, Orlando was also home to the breakbeat scene's greatest fans and producers. An encounter with DJ Tuzaar would be the beginning of my exposure to the inside world of DJs.
A few WMCs, and electro breaks lifetimes later, we moved to Seattle which is where I began to take DJing seriously. A good day job allowed me to finance my growing record habit, and the last year has shown a lot of amazing opportunities come my way.
The first female member of the BEATCON breakbeat crew, resident DJ at Qool (hippest happy Hour up and down the West Coast), and radio correspondent for C89.5 The Vortex(hear me on Saturday nights), I am in the process of unleashing a vast array of breaks in all forms upon the world in my unique relentless but ever changing manner!
I play funky breaks, funk, booty breaks, progressive breaks, nu-skool breaks, dark breaks, twisted breaks mashups, house, and lounge.
I love the feel of wax on my fingers and the bass that rattles my eyelashes. The crackly sound of old vinyl inspires me to keep fusing old and new. Merging styles has resulted in SO much good music. I want to play the best of it through my eyes and make my puppets on the dancefloor move!
Promoting funk, breaks, and peace for all humanity...except when I drop those bombs on your aural cavities!!

Danny Massure's latest release 'Put It On Me' brings the sounds of acid jazz to the club. The fresh sound is due in part to the featured Seattle funk masters Tracy Ferrara on sax, Jeff Conlin on keys, Jason Graczyk on guitar and Matt Reid on trumpet. The funk gets flipped by remixers BadboE, Jayl Funk, The Breakbeat Junkie and Omegaman.
