Sounds Like
RAZZLE DAZZLE - "this is a song with a great vocal melody and a catchy riff , the simplicity of it grabs you and gets the subconscious dancing with a nonchalant foot tap."
-benjamin james eastwood (NZ Artist)
GOTTA LET GO - "the lyrics have an earthiness to them that is both accessible and deep, and the playing is classic rock styling with superior musicianship. I love your sound. Gotta Let Go, is my favorite."
- T.J. Phoenix (US Artist)
RAZZLE DAZZLE - "It is quite different to other music around. Catchy but not in a tacky pop kind of way. Beautiful melodies and accoustics."
-Slicethepie.com
MY DOOR - "A really interesting sounding song, it pulls you in from the outset."

The vividly unique sound created in the genre of acoustic folk rock has become Whyte Zebra's distinct calling card. Based in the Central Queensland region of Australia, this six piece band consists of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Andy Stanhope, percussionist Tom Whyte, bassist Steve Quinn, violinist Rebecca Romeo and backing vocals by Jackie Perryer and Toni Williams.
After many years of performing live, this band already has a large and loyal fan base. Their frenetic pace ensures they have become a constant on the music scene. In 2008 the original trio recorded their debut self titled album. 2009 will see the release of this album, amongst a full calendar of performances and events. The headline act for a monthly music event, they are already committed to numerous music festivals, providing ample opportunity to promote their debut album.
Each member of Whyte Zebra brings their own musical influences to the band; from roots to country through to heavy rock. It is these very differences that have seen the development of a unique bond, respect and passion for all kinds of music. Andy Stanhope started his music career as a solo artist performing at local pubs, corporate functions and parties. Through this network of musicians he met a young percussionist, Tom Whyte. Tom's ability and passion for percussion saw the two combine their skills to strengthen Andy's already developed unique style. It wasn't until an interview with the local newspaper that it occurred to the young duo that they would need a name. With a deadline looming, they derived the name from Andy's nickname "Zebra" and Tom's surname to form "Whyte Zebra". Shortly after they were joined by bass extraordinaire Steve Quinn.
Fast forward to 2009, and then there was six. Whyte Zebra now includes the compositions of violinist Rebecca Romeo, and harmonious backing vocals by duo Jackie Perryer and Toni Williams. Producing a prominent and complete sound, the song compositions are strengthened by strings and backing vocals, creating a deep, transcendent melody.
Whyte Zebra strive to approach every occasion with the same professional attitude, whether performing gigs at pubs/clubs, weddings, corporate dinners, parties, festivals, original nights, or support gigs. With this attitude, Whyte Zebra operates as a business venture as well as a band.

Haha i can totally understand that. That's why i usually try to balance
any of my too serious / sad songs out with a stupid/funny/whatever one.
