Um, that would be me. At least on my originals. I sing and play bass in a band called Systematic Chaos (with Del Westcott and John Hester), and also play bass and sing with the Just In Time Band. I'm also working on a solo acoustic show.
Influences
Geez. In a paragraph? Ok, so if I have to nail it down, I would say Roger Waters, Orson Welles and George S. Patton, but not necessarily in the order. Make of that what you will. And if you mean music, well, I guess I'd have to claim Aerosmith, Rush, maybe Led Zeppelin, and individual players like John Entwistle and Chris Squire.
Sounds Like
That's a good question. I dunno. You tell me. I've been told my music sounded like a soundtrack to an unsettling acid trip. Personally, I don't see it, but there you go. If I had to say so, I'd say throw in some Blues, a dash of Hard Rock and a wee little bit of Progressive Rock, and you might get somewhere near what I sound like.
I mainly consider myself a bass player. I've played guitar in bands before, and play guitar when I record my own music, but I'll always be a bass player. Maybe because guitar just doesn't make the floor rumble. Right now I'm jamming with a couple of bands, but I'm always looking for people to jam with, and I'm perfectly willing to fill in for bands who need temporary personnel. During the mid 1990's, that's all I really did, and played with dozens of bands in North and South Carolina. Need a fill-in bass player? Give me a yell. Wanna jam? Write and say hello. Have bass, will jam.
