Raised on a proper diet of 70's Gold, 80's Glam Metal and the Grunge revolution of the 90's, the roots of influence for Wicked Automatic span over three decades. Hailing from the Seacoast region of the granite state, New Hampshire, driving to a gig in a blizzard is not uncommon for these nomad rockers. "We've never cancelled a gig because of a weather emergency, put it that way", states drummer John Viar. He continues, "We are here to rock and get our music to fellow rock n' rollers around the globe." It's that same drive and bravado that has sent their latest release, "Brave New Story", streaming across the global airwaves. Since its release in early 2007, "Brave New Story" has been licensed to MTV networks, licensed to several action sports movie soundtracks and digitally distributed in 146 countries. In addition, the EP continues to be added to commercial and college radio playlists everyday. "Its not just about rockin out and meeting attractive and interesting women anymore, its now about rockin out, meeting attractive and interesting women and being a highly ambitious rock group," exclaims lead singer Jon, aka Jonathan, aka JA, aka Telfair Anderson. In fact, Wicked Automatic is already finishing a new full length record, which is set for global release in June of 2008. The record will be supported by a North American tour. "We're charging this year like no other: this is what we do and there is no turning back now," divulges guitarist Mike O'Neil. He shares further, "I like rockin out, meeting attractive and interesting women and playing guitar in a highly ambitious rock group." It's easy to see where this band gets their motivation for hanging in there through the highs and lows of this game. "That's what it's all about man," adds bassist Brian "Sabato" Scanlon. "If you're in a band, you better be rockin out and meeting attractive and interesting women, otherwise you are only impersonating a highly ambitious rock group," concludes Scanlon.
