Playing on the computer. Playing a lot of the games at www.pogo.com. My kids/family. Reading. I love going to zoos and museums, especially with the kids. The exhibits are so neat (mostly) and then seeing them with the kids puts a whole new spin on the adventure! OH! These are not necessarily in priority-order!
I am very picky about my movies. If it causes my heart-rate or blood-pressure to rise and I'm not laughing, then I don't need to be watching it. Most people can say "it's just a movie" but I think "some freak had to think this shit up!" So, mostly it's light-hearted comedy, chick flicks, and cartoons.
Television
Mostly, I TIVO/DVR the shows I watch cause they're never on at a convenient time or else they're on at the same time! This season it seems to be Survivor, the original CSI, Extreme Home Makeover, 7th Heaven, Boston Legal, Medium, Numbers, and then of course there's the "I have a few minutes for something different" HGTV/FoodTV/DIY or Discovery/NGC/Animal Planet and those type channels' shows.
Books
YES!!!!! I love to read but I have to "ration" my reading because unlike most people, reading keeps me awake! Currently, I'm enjoying Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" series. It is great! I do recommend starting at the beginning of the series though. Other than that, I like reading magazines, books, web pages, whatever I can!
Heroes
My dad. My dad was the 2nd of 6 children, raised by loving but poor parents (who wouldn't be with 6 kids?)! He started working hard at a young age and never stopped. Born and raised in Florida he worked in the strawberry fields and did all types of outdoor work. After graduation, he did a 4 year stint in the Air Force. He probably would have stayed longer if they hadn't taken that Florida boy and left him 30 miles from the Canadian border for the entire 4 years!!! He never did like the cold. After returning from Minot (ND) he married my mother and moved to Clearwater to work on airplanes. He always held "good" jobs but had several businesses on the side as well. The last "side" business became a thriving full-time business which has supported the entire family for many years now. It also supports the families of the 25+/- employees. He "came from nothing" and built up a 1+ million dollar business. At the end of his life, he was diagnosed with PARKINSON'S DISEASE. His was "a-typical" meaning medications didn't help. He fought this awful disease every single day for more than 6 years. On Father's day 2005, he went to spend his first Father's day with my sister who died in infancy. My father was the strongest, happiest, most hardworking and smart person I've ever known. I love him and I miss him! He is truly my hero!
About me: Thirty-something mom to a beautiful girl and a 12 y/o boy. He's "special needs" (deaf, autism, ADHD, etc..) and she's just a teen girl who's now 19 & away at college!!! (I'm just not old enough to have an 19 y/o!) LOL Oh, and married to the greatest man in the world! He treats me like a queen, even when I don't deserve it! I'm a very lucky woman :)
Update on the house situation! We got the house in Land O'Lakes, as long as it passes inspection and doesn't have boogly wooglies or something! Hooray! Love you!

Thanks for the good vibes, we need them! No word yet, but we're not even to day 30 yet (the dude's lender has 45 days to approve the short sale)...our realtor told us to take it easy. We're crossing our fingers, but have plan b houses lined up! Good market out there! Woo hoo!
Dom and I are househunting for our first house! We put an offer in this week on a really, really good deal on a nice house and are keeping our fingers crossed. Definitely a learning experience! Now I see why people like to rent!
Holy crap, Pammy is off to college? I feel like a dinosaur, I remember when she was that purty little baby. What college? She's such a smart girl that I know she'll do well! Smart like her mama!
