Wkd Unkle Woo would like to offer the cool & funky backing track of his synonymous song as a challenge for another singer/songwriter and/or rapper to complete. It the 1st track of the 5. Just do it! If you need the track to download ask to be WUW's friend (if you're not already) and I'll check out your music. Easy. All tracks recorded @ Studio Swindellini.

Now here's DanMingo's first, ever YouTube video. It's of 'More Noise', the opening song at their debut gig at The Cafe De Paris on 7.9.07. Winston was busy recording in NYC, so Alec from Dirth stepped-in at short notice to play bass. The second vid is 'It's All About Oil'. Many thanks to Karmen and Andre for their stirling camera work, Paul and Micky at The Cafe for the sound and the MCing and to Jerry Richards for the poet-production. Enjoy!

Wkd Unkle Woo was born sometime in the last century in the rather grand, rococco bathroom of the star dressing room at the Workers' Opera House in Andijon, the capital of Uzbekistan, which was then still part of The Soviet Union. His mother Borattia Comradski, a poor, heavily-pregnant, lowly peasant, was assisting Micail Moddafokka, Uzbekistan's biggest opera star, with his pre-show routine. He got a little more than he bargained for when the sudden appearance little baby Woo's head between Borrattia's legs interrupted his ritual. Borattia named her little son Comrade Comradski, thinking it had a nice 'ring' to it. But fate would soon change all that when Micail Moddofukka decided to adopt little Comrade (Commie for short) and absconded with him to the West in 1957, when he was starring in a Bolshoi production of Wagner's The Ring Cycle at The Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden, which was still a fruit and vegetable market, as opposed to the Disney-esque shopping mall and tourist trap that you all know and love to hate these days.
Little Commie was brought up in the lap of luxury in a large, white, stucco-fronted Victorian house in London's Notting Hill, when it was populated more by Rastafarians, rather than 'trustafarians', as well as home to many rich boho, beatnik types. Thus, he grew up surrounded by the music and vibes of Reggae, Calypso, Soca and what was to become known as SOUL, FUNK and HIP-HOP music. Therein lay the roots of Wkd Unkle Woo, his alter-ego, which led to the birth of a whole new genre of music and culture that swept the world in the late seventies. Like Maison Bouquillon, that cake-tastic pattiserie in Bayswater, it was gateau fabulous!

Hello my favourite funkster in the whole world! - it's JJ, Steve Swindells' faithful ginger pussy here. Just letting everyone know that JJ's Miaow Space is now up and running with a new song by SS, my very own human (the one he wrote and recorded in Cornwall) , featured on there... along with my very own cartoon! Now what new track shall I put up next? Maybe something unheard by DanMingo eh? Love JJ. Purrrr.
Congratulations WUW! You ol' muthaf**cka! Mind you, without Jerry on guitar, well, it just wouldn't be the same, and Steve Swindell's and Cieran's backing vocals are well good. So you know, it's a WUW-DanMingo collab thingo isn't it? Yeah.
