Black Sabbath the founding fathers of Metal and creators of a sound that is so heavy and unique but still very relevant today. Many bands have tried to copy that sound, but NO OTHER BAND SOUNDS MORE LIKE BLACK SABBATH THAN WICKED WORLD.
Wicked World is from Brooklyn, NY but their sound is Straight Outta Birmingham. Each member of the band knows that the true sound of Black Sabbath does not come from guitars, amps, or drums but from deep inside the player. The inside-out approach is what makes Wicked Worlds note-for-note renditions (actually, more like re-creations) a cut above the rest and for the listener creates a truer Black Sabbath experience.
Wicked World is AJ Lauro vocals, Rob Rizzo guitar, Frank Romeo bass and Steve Morante drums. Their collective experience as musicians and dedication to the music they play is overwhelming. Although only together as a band since 2001, their sound was forged over 30 years ago during the genesis of Heavy Metal.
Wicked Worlds special quality does not just apply to the music of Black Sabbath, but also to the many songs that they play Ozzy Osbournes solo catalog as well. The band applies the same commitment to overall sound and tone to the distinct style of Ozzys solo songs making it like two tribute bands in one. This creates a musical bridge of 70s to 80s that is unmatched by any of the others. Ask any of the people who have seen this band perform over and over; they all say the same thing: Anybody can dress-up like their favorite band, but NO OTHER BAND SOUNDS MORE LIKE BLACK SABBATH THAN WICKED WORLD.
