About me:
We are Mike and Cheri Russell. We live in Ozark, Missouri,
a small town south of Springfield and north of Branson.
We live on, and do our wicker restoration on a "Missouri Century Farm." This means our farm has been in the same family for more than 100 years. In fact, As of Sept 7, 2003, the farm was 150 years old or now is know as a Sesquicentennial Farm. Part of our business runs out of this barn c. 1853 which is the oldest log standing barn in Christian County.
I started the wicker business in 1976 in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Later, when we moved to Washington State. My husband, Mike joined me in the repairs. In 1981 we moved back to my hometown of Ozark, and have been here ever since. We just love it here on the family homestead.
We were lucky enough to have provided several wicker pieces which were used in the movie "Mr. & Mrs. Bridge," starring Paul Newman & Joann Woodward, filmed in Kansas City, Missouri. We have been listed in Richard Saunders books, one of which is "The Official Price Guide to Wicker," in fact, Richard purchased an antique piece we had restored for his wife as a gift. I was featured in the 1981 August issue of "Woman's Day" magazine. We have been Blessed to be in several other magazines, newspapers and TV news features.
We have restored many family heirlooms and future heirlooms from coast to coast. If you would like references in your area just ask. We have a saying: "Get Your Dog Chewed, Cat Clawed, Bird Picked, Wicker Fixed Today!! They are our best customers!
We do a lot of shows in the Kansas City area. For show dates, e-mail or call me. We hope to see you there! Also available to the Kansas City, Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri and Joplin, St. Louis, Columbia areas are pick-up & deliveries available.

We specialize in Antique Wicker Repair. Minor-Major Surgery. Painting, Cleaning, Polishing the medal caps on the end of the legs, Etc. Some are brass and look very pretty polished up. We have A LOT of Antique Wicker 4-Sale. We each have our specialties. I re-do pineapple feet, give estimates, and love doing shows. Mike's favorite is re-doing curls, fixing major structural breaks, painting and natural glazing your wicker. Mike also replaces the rubber on buggy & carriage tires/wheels. We do all types of chair re-caning, hole caning, blind hole, pressed cane, splint, rush, herringbone, Danish, Etc.
When we say we do major surgery, we really mean major! You would not believe some of the torn up pieces we've restored. We do have pictures of our before-and-after restoration jobs. Customers ship wicker to us from all over the United States. We custom make items to go with what you already have, such as a lampshade to match a lamp base, etc. We'll help you locate that wicker piece you have been looking for. If you don't like painted wicker, Mike will make it look natural again with our glazing process. When he's finished it will look close to its original natural finish. Our favorite pieces to repair are family heirlooms!! It is such a wonderful feeling to give someone a piece of their cherished family history back in its original condition just like they remembered it being when they were a child. I love to see those happy faces, or the joy in their voices!
