'Love Me, Love My Dog' was the Wak's first album and was released in 1980 as a direct result of the band's appearance on Jacki MacDonald's TV Show. It was produced by the ubiquitous John Stainton and only 6000 copies were pressed.
The next album, 'New Horizons', was released in January 1983 through EMI and recorded by Gary McDonald and Laurie Stone at Starsound Studios. Original material was written by Craig Donaldson and Tim Schumacher, of Denver, Colorado. Their Los Angeles publisher, Dan Friedman, assigned the songs to Wickety Wak during the 1981 Music Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The album peaked at No 4 in the charts and remained in the listings for 19 weeks; the single from the album, 'Moonlight Marvel' achieved No 12. The album was released in the USSR, Canada and Norway.
'Second Helpings' was arranged and recorded by Geoff Wilkes and released in 1985. Two tracks were re-recorded as dance mixes and released in Canada – with Wickety Wak named as Hott Waxx. But the project came to an untimely end with the sudden death of record company executive Paul Clinch.
Geoff Wilkes was called on again to record the Wak's fourth album, 'Wak About Australia', which was released in 1988 through CBS. With more than 20,000 copies sold, this was the Wak's most successful record. It was also made into a TV special by the Seven Network.

Heroes
Geoff Wilkes - His masterful presence in the music industry. Such a unique musical talent behind some many TV shows ,commercials and much more!
Paul Ewart- The driving force and mastermind behind the guys at Wickety Wak! The manager of the band and the success behind the scenes is a credit to the legend of Wickety Wak!
AND THE FANS - THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT OVER THE YEARS.
On January 5, 1975, ‘Australia’s Zaniest Entertainers – Wickety Wak’ appeared for the first time at the National Hotel in Brisbane. It was the start of a long road to ‘overnight’ success.
Five talented musicians, Greg, Tony, Pahnie, Peter & Robbie, joined forces to create what was to become Australia’s most popular and successful touring band, Wickety Wak. Their show was unique. A combination of serious melodies, mixed with unique parodies of some of the world’s most noted performers always left the audiences wanting for more. From Tom Jones to Cher and Willie Nelson to Dolly Parton no performer was left unturned.
From 1975 to 1990 Wickety Wak toured Australia 48 weeks each year, entertaining audiences of all ages around Australia quickly becoming a household name.
When, after 15 years, the band decided to put their grueling schedules behind them and retire the band Wickety Wak, they were astounded by the support, dedication and loyalty received from their audiences. Their year long “Last Laugh” tour was an emotional time with sell out shows Australia wide, culminating in a final performance at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on December 8th 1990. When the tickets to the show were first released it was clear that one show would not be enough for all of Wickety Wak’s fans to have their chance to say good bye. Quickly two more shows were released and they sold out quickly, resulting in a record sell out 3 shows, with an audience of 27,000 joining them in their final performances. It still rates in the top 10 show attendances at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
In 1997 the boys from Wickety Wak joined forces once again for the ‘Boys are Back’ 3 month reunion tour with resounding success. In 2006 the Lock Up Your Grand Mothers tour sold out venue after venue! Just shows these old guys can still pack a house in! Coming soon is the 'Waks up Your Wrinkles' tour.
