I was born and brought up in North Wales. I have been writing songs since I was in my teens. I hit upon a really productive phase in the 1990's when I was living near Aberystwyth, Wales, U.K.
Most of the songs on the 'Wide Awake Day' album were written between 1990 and 1995. They first got an airing in venues local to Aberystwyth with a band called 'Hylas Corner'. Some of the original members of that band appear on the album. The songs have been recorded in a cottage close to Aberystwyth on a Roland VS890 digital recorder. The process has taken about 3 years, what with getting everyone to do their bit at weekends, changes to the playlist, mixing/mastering in a studio.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Thanks very much for the friendship. Your music is lovely. Great lyrics, I love take me down to the river and Strata Florida, great discription of the beautiful ruins there. Also, I think fear of love displays a beautiful combination of words, creating lovely imagery. Cheers Bernadette
