One year after his very well acclaimed debut "Under These Stars, We'll Sleep Again" [laridae031] Guy Andrews aka "iambic²" is back with his new full length release "As The Snow Fell" - a calmed down collage of rather cold ambient pieces on the one hand and warm songwriter refinement on the other. If Conor Oberst and Múm made an illegitimate son while listening to Aphex Twin’s SAW2 - they’d have to call it "iambic²". Enjoy!

Laridae..s newest release is a mini-album by Winterstrand, a fruitful
collaboration of three brothers from southern Austria, not only sharing
the same genes, but evidently also the same love for what they call
"soundscapes, heavy breaks and relaxed (but never loungy) rhythms".
Being very commited to the Austrian scene and pleasing their fans with a
bunch of experienced live shows, they now decided to release their

About me: wide open eyes shut
is an association promoting events in graz/austria that set out to present mindblowing live music and visuals as well as skillful and gripping djing.
wide open eyes shut stands for high artistic standards and each event aims to be a sophisticated composition for itself. just like a good dj set it tries to be well structured and to provide the ambitious audience with the comfortable feeling that everything seems to fit.
an essential part of the wide open eyes shut agenda is to provide young people with the opportunity to get in touch with art in a simple and fun way. those of them who already consider themselves artists get the chance to improve their skills, to get to know new techniques and approaches in production and presentation and to generally move forward and push their limits. our free workshops and lectures are mainly hosted by experienced local artists, but we also try to get precious input from the various international scenes.
besides doing events ourselves we..re also involved in various networking activities with other local and international promoters and artists.
generally we strongly aim at improving the quality of art in graz and the world.

Die Basisgruppe Tierrechte veranstaltet am 15.12. (Wien) und 16.12. (Graz) einen Vortragsabend mit anschließender Diskussion zu dem wir alle, die sich für Tierbefreiung im herrschaftskritischen, gesamtgesellschaftlichen Kontext, den Historischen Materialismus und die Kritische Theorie der Frankfurter Schule interessieren oder einfach nur gerne zum zuhören und mitdiskutieren vorbeikommen wollen einladen möchten. Mit dem Vortrag soll der Versuch unternommen werden, die Befreiung der Tiere, als Teil der gesellschaftlichen Befreiung zu begreifen und ein möglicher Weg für die Konzeption einer dafür notwendigen materialistischen kritischen Theorie vorgelegt werden.
