About me: I am a young 72-year old author, gardener and environmentalist, (going on 18), with a 35 year-old wife called Nikki. My grandchildren (10 in all) call me Gangsta Grampz or G Diddy!
I have been an environmentalist for over 50 years, before the term was so widely used! I am currently pushing my 'Green Roof Campaign', to put meadows and gardens on the roofs of all buildings in the UK. I have the backing of Friends of The Earth and DEFRA, and am trying to get the government to put Green Roofs on all new buidlings, and create grants for existing buildings.
I am also pushing for fuel cell cars, wind turbines, solar power and monorail systems for all public transport.
I write children's books (The Widgeripoo series), environmental books (This Garden Earth and Vandals In The Garden) and am working on the fourth of six autobiographical books about The Magic Oak Tree Family (MOTF)- an International Family of friends working to make the Earth a better and safer place.
I also do extra work in TV and movies with Nikki.
I love going to gigs and nightclubs with Nikki and my daughters, to review bands for my website. I have my own website, which is:
