I am really excited you guys are playing in like, three days at the Sunset. Because I feel like I need a good solid dose of some sweet, sweet Widower. It is marked on my calendar. And in my heart.
Holy shit, Widower! Apparently I've been living under a large rock for awhile now, because i only just today got around to listening to your music and it gave me super chills. The kind of chills that I once experienced watching Two Gallants play at someone's packed apartment in Olympia one night. Do I really have to wait until JUNE to see you play? That's unfortunate. God, you're just really great.
Howdy Widower folks, Caught your last show at the Tractor with Grand Hallway, had a great time. I just bought the split for my friend's birthday, cause she digs you guys too. I think I have to get another for me tho. When are you playing live again? ~Michael
At 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, Widower, an "almost country" band from Brooklyn, New York will appear at the Landmark. Led by Kevin Large from Asbury Park, N.J., "this is an eastern band with twang, on the road up the coast." Large plays guitar and sings; Ryan Adams adds steel guitar; Catherine Boutwell provides vocals; David Ulrich performs banjo, percussion and vocals; Heather Cowan plays bass; Bill Gross, guitar; and Chris Zasche pedal steel.
