Our EP Salt Sugar Fat is available right friggin now for only $7 (including postage!)
Salt, Sugar, Fat is a truly rollicking, joyous selection of music...There's unquestionable talent and songwriting nous at play here, but it's paired with a sense of fun and Wifey’s reticence to take themselves too seriously. They don't need to – everyone else soon will...messandnoise.com
'Homing' is a gloriously catchy opening track that does fit the Okkervil River tag that some have attached to them..features some lovely melodic touches with the voice of Andy Calvert containing a subtle touch of grit to set them aside from the fey indie pop sounds that are everywhere at the moment...doubtfulsounds.wordpress.com

Since sliding out of the birth canal in April 2008 Wifey have won the University of Sydney band comp and the NSW campus band comp. More importantly they have peed their pants playing with awesome bands like Smudge, Youth Group, 78 Saab, Howe Gelb of Giant Sand (USA), Hugo Race (Ex Bad Seeds), Dead Letter Chorus, The City Lights, Peabody, Richard in Your Mind, Ned Collette, The Laurels and a recent tour with The Brunettes (NZ). The five piece, featuring keys and violin, have just released their first EP Salt Sugar Fat through indie label Tenzemen and are set to record their first album early 2010.
..Wifey played an upbeat set prominently featuring keys and violin in its anglophiliac americana stylings. At times they sounded like a cross between Okkervil River and Dexys Midnight Runners with their melodic sensibilities...doubtfulsounds.wordpress.com
..what’s really to get excited about here is the playful bounce of the beguiling Eccentric Boogaloo or the Elvis Costello-ish Chop it Off. Although the fiddle occasionally drags Wifey into folk cliché, theirs is a distinctly Australian sound that tips an accomplished nod at American greats such as Bonny Prince Billy and Tom Waits…no bad thing at all...Fasterlouder.com
..Wifey no doubt impressed more than a few punters with some cleverly written tunes..this kind of showing could mark them as one to watch over the summer..Beat magazine

This THURSDAY...come so this free little haven don't get stopped! Shiny people playing tunes in the sun in a fucking rad courtyard drinking cheap drinks and it's free!
Nice to meet you on here. We have a few shows around town if you fancy getting down for some pop music/tequilla shots? Have fun in Melbourne if we don't see you.
Hey there, sorry to be one of those people but here's a bulk message... from the heart.
We're
hitting the road with friends 'The British Robots' and travelling all
along the east coast. Our 2rd show is in Sydney, we're
going to be at The Bald Faced Stag on June 12th (8pm) with 'Sneeze' playing their first gig in years!
