The Wigan Music collective, founded in 1998, is a non-profit organisation. We are a group of volunteers, enthusiasts, musicians and music lovers who give our free time to promote original music in the Wigan area. We have put on gigs at The Tavern, The Grand Hotel, Ricks Bar, Shapiros and a yearly free festival at Haigh Hall. We are currently looking for more venues that we can hold gigs at so if you manage or own a venue get in touch with Mark at the email address below.
By running our gigs, we give local bands a platform to showcase their original music, and have also hosted performances by many inspirational and diverse bands from across the globe.
We love all kinds of different music and are not genre specific. If it's original, and if it's live, we love it.
We welcome anybody who would like to get involved to our bi-weekly meetings - details of which will be announced on our websites beforehand so keep checking back and if you want to help out or have any ideas then come along.
If you're in a band looking to play, please email Neil: gigs@wiganmusic.com
Don't message us about them on here, because he may not get the message!
